As the Principal of Balwyn Music Studio, my aim is to inspire young minds to become the best musician they can be.
I personally started playing the piano at a young age of five and over the years, I accumulated extensive experience in performance, as well as achieving top marks in graded examinations (practical & theory).
In my performance journey, I have won numerous awards, both locally and internationally.
Most recently, I won the 2021 Kault Prize, awarded by the VMTA (Victorian Music Teachers' Association) and 2022 Ann & Chris Krans Music Award.
While under the tutelage of maestro Mr. Glenn Riddle, a leading pedagogue, I was awarded the Associate in Music, Australia (AMusA ~ Distinction) and Licentiate in Music, Australia (LMusA) at a young age of 15 and 16 respectively.
In addition to piano, I am also a qualified voice coach. I have been singing for over 10 years and won many awards in my performance journey. I also love the challenge to continuously upskill with graded exams, currently AMEB Singing Repertoire Grade 5.
I am fluent in coaching all pop music, classical, jazz, RnB and contemporary styling ~ teaching pitch, key, vibrato from beginners to advanced.
Having studied and highly skilled in both piano and singing performance, lessons can also be combined as "voice with piano/keys" or "song-writing with piano/keys".
I will help build on your strengths, fill in the gaps and work on overcoming weaknesses at your own pace. With every lesson, you will improve and experience gradual breakthroughs.

Our school adopts a holistic approach in teaching music. All our lessons are tailored for the child/individual, learning at their comfortable pace, so as to gain confidence, self development and personal growth.
With over 13 years of experience and being a performer since a young age, I absolutely understand the mindset of young kids starting on their piano journey, to young adults/teenagers, wanting to perform their best at the competitive level.
My philosophy is to coach and inculcate in my students an attitude of elegant performance with strong techniques and share the music whole-heartedly and passionately.

Our teachers are highly-qualified, lively, high-spirited, patient and hold Working With Children Check.
Our studio is quiet and cosy. Lessons are conducted on a grand piano Yamaha C3, hence all students gain early exposure to a quality instrument, which is essential for developing strong techniques.
We offer one-on-one private lessons, aiming to nurture and teach students regardless of age and technical level.
Whether it be a young child taking their first steps in piano, or a young pianist wanting to hone skills for performance or competition, we will be able to coach and refine your techniques to a high level.
We specialise in teaching AMEB/ABRSM syllabus to students of varying ages and musical background. Our teachers are versatile and very adaptable to suit each student's needs and ability.
Lessons range from 30 / 45 / 60 mins.
(from A$80 per hour or A$40 for 30mins)
*Grade 6-Grade 8 : A$90 per hour
**Grade 1-Grade 5 : A$80 per hour
***Young Beginners : A$35 for 30mins
